Christophe Massiot
CEO and Founder
EasyTools was founded by Christophe Massiot – a key figure in the development of the VLC media player – with a mission to enable affordable, flexible, and reliable video infrastructure.
Prior to creating EasyTools, Christophe co-founded Open Headend, aiming to democratise open-source technology for non-technical users.
Christophe also has extensive experience working for both Canal+ and Free, where he participated in developing the Freebox, a groundbreaking telecommunications device that set new standards for consumer accessibility. He has also developed the Upipe flexible dataflow framework, an open-source project that serves as the cornerstone of EasyTools’ solutions.
While still a student at Centrale Paris, Christophe Massiot was one of the original developers of the open-source VLC media player. His contribution to VLC established him as a renowned expert in video software and ignited his lifelong passion for open-source technology.
Two senior software developers and a support engineer help Christophe.
