EasyTools Joins SRT Alliance for High Quality, Low-Latency Video Streaming over the Internet

EasyTools joins SRT Alliance

The ‘affordability revolution’ now provides trusted quality and reliability over IP networks

Paris, France – December 2nd, 2025  – EasyTools, a trailblazer in versatile software video infrastructure solutions, today announced that it has joined  the SRT Alliance, a collaborative community of industry leaders and developers striving to achieve lower latency internet video transport. Moreover, the EasyTools Contribution, Distribution and Monitoring solutions are certified as SRT Ready.

The SRT Alliance, founded by Haivision in April 2017, already has more than 700 members. Its mission is to overcome the challenges of low-latency live streaming by supporting the collaborative development of SRT (Secure Reliable Transport), the fastest growing open-source streaming project. SRT is a free open-source video transport protocol and technology stack originally developed and pioneered by Haivision, which enables the delivery of high-quality and secure, low-latency video across the public internet.

While the SRT protocol has been integrated in the EasyTools products since 2019, this certification underscores EasyTools’ commitment to delivering high-quality video-infrastructure solutions that meet the demands of modern broadcast environments.

Thanks to the SRT protocol, broadcasters using the EasyTools Contribution and Distribution solutions for sports, concerts, and other live events can replace expensive satellite contribution setups. They can now use affordable Internet connections while still meeting stringent requirements for low latency and high quality. Moreover, broadcasters and streamers using the EasyTools Monitoring solution can monitor channels remotely, enhancing operational efficiency and oversight.

“Operators building their video infrastructure want two things: low costs and high reliability,” said Christophe Massiot, founder and CEO of EasyTools. “Our ‘affordability revolution’ presented at IBC meets the need for low cost. Now, with our products SRT Ready, operators can trust our solutions over IP networks, ensuring top-notch quality and reliability for high-stakes distributions.”

EasyTools – which also offers distribution services – already processes several hundred SRT streams daily through its infrastructure on behalf of its clients. Furthermore, its SRT-Ready products also support SMPTE-2022-7 over SRT, offering seamless resilience in video transport.

About the SRT Alliance
The SRT Alliance is a collaborative community of industry leaders and developers striving to achieve lower latency internet video transport by continuously improving SRT, an open-source video transport protocol and technology stack. Originally developed and pioneered by Haivision, SRT optimizes streaming performance across unpredictable networks with secure streams and easy firewall traversal, bringing the best quality live video over the worst networks. Haivision was awarded an Emmy® for Technology and Engineering from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for developing the SRT protocol.
